For Couples Getting Started & building a fluent foundation in Argentine Tango. Come with a partner to learn the essentials of the art of the conversation that is the Argentine Tango.
For those who’d like to dance exclusively with one another, these classes do not require participants to change partners. They run in a 4 month cycle. Students may start in any month and the material taught months.
The schedule of topics which will be covered is:
Apr: D - Navigation: rocking turns, curving any step.
May: A - Embrace, axis, lead and follow, walking and improvising
Jun: B - Music: the Beat. Rhythms. Introduction to Milonga. Boxes.
Jul: C - The cross. Walking inside and outside, playing
with the cross. 2 splendid patterns.
Aug: D - Navigation: rocking turns, curving any step.
